Requirements and Responsibilities For Resident Medication Assistant
Assists residents in taking prescribed medications. Ensures residents receive the proper dosage, timing, and delivery method for prescribed medications. Educates residents on proper methods and timing of medications. Follows all relevant prescription instructions, documentation, and safety procedures. Reports any anomilies or changes in the patient related to the medication. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
