| Requirements and Responsibilities For Environmental Compliance Manager |
| Manages an organization's environmental programs. Ensures the programs are functional and in compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Responsible for reviewing environmental data, test results, and operational reports to spot potential violations or hazards. Develops, designs, and implements environmental programs and policies. Prepares documentation, maintains records, and files required compliance reports. Researches new legislative mandates and updates leadership on required changes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
