| Requirements and Responsibilities For Fiberglass Laminator and Finisher |
| Applies layers of fiberglass and resin to molds to fabricate or repair composite parts and structures. Measures, cuts, and positions fiberglass materials according to specifications and blueprints. Mixes resins and hardeners, ensuring proper ratios and curing conditions. Trims, sands, grinds, and finishes cured parts to achieve the required dimensions and surface quality. Inspects finished products for defects and ensures compliance with quality standards. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. |
