| Requirements and Responsibilities For Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Supervisor |
| Oversees the timely and efficient flow of materials required to meet production schedules and customer demand. Develops, monitors, and maintains material requirement planning (MRP) systems to plan for demand, manage inventory levels, and coordinate procurement and production activities. Analyzes data to forecast material needs and collaborates with suppliers, production, and supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery. May support process improvements, system accuracy, and planning efficiency to enhance overall supply chain reliability and cost-effectiveness. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. |
